Master Yunkuo Wang was born in Weifang, Shangdong province of China. Growing up in a Chinese Kung Fu family, master Yunkuo Wang first started learning Kung Fu at age of six under the guidance of his grandpa, Fan Shu Long, a local martial artist.
The Chinese martial arts are made up of numerous styles which are often categorized into internal (Nei Jia) and external (Wai Jia) arts. Internal Chinese martial arts focus on the use of the relaxed body, the practices of Nei Jia Kung Fu includes Tai Chi Quan, Xing Yi Quan, Qigong, Bagua Zhang, and BaJi Quan. While external Chinese martial arts more focus on physical development, speed, and explosive movements, thus Wai Jia Kung Fu is used to describe styles such as Long Fist, Southern Fist, Iron Palm, Hanging Baskets skill, Kung Fu Weapons, Praying Mantis Kung Fu etc.

Master Yunkuo Wang has spent most of his life studying and teaching both Nei Jia Kung Fu and Wai Jia Kung Fu. At the age of 8, under the tutelage of his grand farther Fan Shu Long, master Yunkuo Wang began his lifelong training in Kung Fu seriously. In addition to normal education, the Kung Fu training was arduous, a typical day began at 4am in the morning with 3 hours of kung fu drills and ended at 10pm for another 3 hour session of drills before sleeping. Master Yunkuo Wang got chances to learn various Chinese Kung Fu techniques taught by some famous Kung Fu masters or folk Kung Fu masters because of his excellent potential in Kung Fu and hearty attitude.
When he reached 17 years old, master Yunkuo Wang was specially recruited into the Chinese army as a scout, 3 years later he was promoted to be a scout trainer. During his career as scout instructor, master Yunkuo wang has been rewarded for meritorious services for many times.
In 1997, master Yunkuo Wang was specially invited as martial arts instructor in Australia, and subsequently founded Praying Mantis Kung Fu Academy in Sydney, Australia, which later changed to Kung Fu Republic Academy. Under the same business address, Master Wang also runs a Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) clinic, named Live Well Acupuncture & Herbal Massage Clinic.
Master Yunkuo Wang also developed the innovative Taoist Bagua Tai Yi Tai Chi Quan based on unique Kung Fu skills which have been passed down for generations through his family members.
Master Yunkuo Wang with his students have won world, national and provincial Championships for many times all these years, including Gold, Silver and Bronze medals. Local media reported more than once.
